Union Berlin got top honors for women's football. Its youth girls' teams now have a special title from the German Football Association.
At the start of the new year, Union Berlin received the highest certification from the Deutscher Fußball-Bund in its girls' youth teams. This shows the club's hard work to grow women's football.
From January 1, the girls' youth teams at Union Berlin can use the title DFB performance center. The club earned this through steady efforts to help young players in women's football.
Jennifer Zietz, who leads women's professional football and sits on the board, thanked everyone for the award. She said it honors all the people at the training centers in Oberspree and Plänterwald who help young players grow.
